    Priory Ridge Wines & tastings

    Priory Ridges Estate nestled in the scenic East Coast of Tasmania, presents a distinctive collection crafted in the esteemed Burgundian style under the meticulous guidance of Brian Franklin of Apsley Gorge Vineyard. Basking in abundant sunshine, our vineyard stands as the most northerly gem amidst East Coast Tasmania's vineyards, while its unique placement atop a granite seam infuses our wines with a unique flavour profile. This exceptional terroir not only enriches but elevates the complexity and character of each wine we produce. Every grape is carefully handpicked, ensuring the creation of premium wines that gracefully mature in french oak barrels. Our cellar door is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11am - 4pm.

    A 5-minute drive from the charming township of St. Helens and 10km from the renowned Bay of Fires, on the East Coast of Tasmania, Priory Ridge Estate is a picturesque vineyard sprawling across 20 hectares of breathtaking rolling hills. Boasting not only a flourishing vineyard but also a welcoming cellar door and versatile space ideal for a wine tasting and a cheese board. We are open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Spring and Summer.

    During the vibrant spring and summer seasons, Priory Ridge Estate delights visitors with carefully curated platters, thoughtfully designed to complement our exceptional wines. Our offerings feature an array of locally sourced Tasmanian cheeses, paired perfectly with our house-made quince paste, a selection of pickled vegetables, homemade bram cake, accompanied by the crisp freshness of our homegrown apples, harvested straight from our orchards, or other seasonal fruits. Experience the perfect marriage of homemade delights and single vineyard Tassie wines.

    Cheese boards $30 each

    We do not have a restaurant or a la carte menu, so unfortunately do not offer lunch although our platters are substantial.

    As the Easter of 2024 ushered in a new chapter for Priory Ridge Estate, the Keath Family proudly stepped into the role of the vineyard's new stewards. With a passion for winemaking and a deep appreciation for the land, we are wholeheartedly committed to preserving the legacy established by David and Julie Llewellyn while infusing our own unique vision into the vineyard's future. It is with great excitement and anticipation that we welcome you to Priory Ridge Estate, where we look forward to sharing the beauty and bounty of our remarkable vineyard with each and every visitor every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through the Spring and Summer months.
